This list is ONLY for posting STANFORD events/questions/departmental information/Stanford staff/faculty related questions! "Lost on campus" items can be posted here.

Staffers Village

Anything ELSE (not related to your Stanford work and for Stanford networking groups. Something you would talk to your neighbor about, pets sale items, cars, event tickets, sporting events, concerts, etc.

A note about Spam

Please don't spam the list. Each email you send is sent to the same 3,000+ people. We receive many complaints about this, and many members unsubscribe because of spam posts.  Therefore, spamming the list may result in being removed from the list altogether. 


If you are subscribed to the mailing lists, you may send an email directly to post to the list. Permission is not required. Non-subscribers cannot post to the lists.
For Sale and Housing messages. Please be respectful and limit your postings to no more than 3 times per month. When selling multiple items (which is only appropriate on the Village list), please list all of the items in one email. One way is to list all the items on Craigslist (or some other website) and then put all the links in one email. Many users have found this to be effective, and the community thanks you for limiting the number of emails we all receive. It is very much appreciated!

Adding your events to the Staffers Business and Staffers Village calendars:

Do not invite or add the StaffersBusiness and/or Staffers-Village mailing lists to your calendar appointments. After sending an announcement, individuals should be responsible for adding the event to their own calendars.


Only Stanford email address may subscribe to the lists. If you are a retiree (or will be soon), please contact us at:
  2. Manage Subscriptions > enter staffersbusiness or staffers-village > Go to Subscriber page
  3. Enter your email address
  4. Subscribe or Unsubscribe

Adjusting your settings:

  2. View the lists that you are a member of
  3. Click on mailing list
  4. Under “Your Subscription Options” > Set Digest Mode
  5. Click Submit My Changes
